What Internet Browsers and Operating Systems do we currently support for use with BBC iPlayer?

We test BBC iPlayer on the most popular browsers and operating systems currently being used to access our service.

The following 5 browsers have been tested to work with BBC iPlayer as of 08 April 2013:

Google Chrome 26.x
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.x
Mozilla Firefox 19.x
Safari 6.x
Google Chrome 25.x

Due to the resources required to develop, test and support BBC iPlayer for each individual browser currently available and in the interest of delivering value to the licence fee we only support the top 5 most popular browsers currently used. We'll continue to follow user trends and support the top 5 browsers accordingly, as and when they change.

We recognise that while some users may choose to use another browser, we cannot guarantee a problem-free BBC iPlayer experience nor can we offer user support to those using browsers not listed here.

The browsers listed have been tested with BBC iPlayer on the following operating systems:

Linux Ubuntu 11.x
Mac OSX 10.x
Windows 7
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Windows 8

You will also need to have Adobe Flash Player 10.2 or later installed.
