Using BBC iPlayer Radio on mobiles

Access iPlayer Radio through your mobile browser
BBC iPlayer Radio can be accessed on most modern phones, simply visit on your phone's internet browser.

You can listen live to any BBC radio station, view programme and track information, access the schedule, see photos and download podcasts.

Download the iPlayer Radio mobile app
In addition, we have launched a BBC iPlayer Radio app - available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 devices.

The iPlayer Radio app enables you to wake up with the Breakfast Show and instantly have the breadth of BBC radio at your fingertips.

UK audiences can search the Apple store, Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore or Windows Store to download the BBC iPlayer Radio app for free.

Is the BBC iPlayer Radio app available outside the UK?
The BBC iPlayer Radio app will not be available outside to download the UK at launch. We are focused initially on optimising the app for UK Licence Fee payers.

If you download the app from the UK and go on holiday abroad, the app will work outside the UK. Please note that streaming radio is a data intensive service. Whilst the BBC does not charge for its mobile content, your operator's charges for using the internet over mobile networks may apply, and would be significantly increased whilst roaming outside of the UK. Connecting via Wi-Fi is recommended where possible.

Can I download radio programmes in the iPlayer radio app?
We now offer the ability to download podcasts to mobile devices from our Android or iOS apps and we are working towards full radio programme downloads, which we expect to be available by April 2015.

For more information on podcast downloads in the iPlayer radio app, read our blog by James Simcock, Executive Producer for Mobile and BBC Radio & Music interactive.

Windows and Blackberry phones are able to download BBC podcasts through mobile iPlayer Radio sites.
