Why are political programmes on BBC iPlayer often restricted to only two hours but the advertised duration indicates the programme is longer?
We currently deliver a limited amount of news and politics content per week on BBC iPlayer, and unfortunately due to capacity issues, we're only able to offer a maximum of two hours of each news and politics programme on BBC iPlayer.
We acknowledge that the advertised duration of a programme may not reflect the actual duration of the BBC iPlayer version. This information is based on the length of the original broadcast of the programme and not the length of the content that's delivered on BBC iPlayer.
