BBC iPlayer Help

What if I'm on dial-up internet, can I access the RealPlayer files?

We recommend that you use BBC iPlayer with a connection of at least 500kbps, such as broadband, DSL or similar. Click to Play (streaming) programmes are unable to cope with dial-up internet access speeds, which has a maximum connection of 56kbps, and downloading would take an prohibitively long time.

To access the real files, simply select the link that states Dial-up modem version: OFF - click it to switch it to ON and you'll play the Real files.

Alternative method

Another way to reach the the Real file is to select Text only - you should see a link stating select this link to launch [the programme] in Real Player.
