“Switch to wi-fi”
If you are trying to access BBC iPlayer via wi-fi and see this message, please check that both your internet and streaming APN settings are set to use your wi-fi connection.
If you are a 3 UK or Vodafone customer, you can also access iPlayer via your 3G connection (except if using a Symbian^3, Apple or Android device). If you are trying to connect via 3G when you see this message, then check that both your internet and streaming APN settings are set to use your 3G connection.
“Not in the UK”
If you're in the UK and see this message, it's because your data connection is being routed via servers registered as being overseas.
Try closing your browser and reopening it, and (if applicable) restart your wi-fi router – it may be a simple network connection error.
If you're using a public network (eg. on a train), this may route your connection overseas, please try again later using a different network.
If you're using the Opera Mini browser, try switching to your phone's default browser.
If you're using a BlackBerry device, try using the BlackBerry Shortcut application to access BBC Sport. Follow the 'Shortcuts for BlackBerry' link at the bottom of the BBC Mobile homepage to download this.
If none of these suggestions help, please contact your ISP or network operator.
"Incompatible device" (on compatible BlackBerry devices)
- Launch your browser
- Select BlackBerry Menu > Options > Browser Configuration
- Set Browser Identification to 'Blackberry'
If none of these help, or if you don't see an error message
