How do I tell if I'm using Windows XP or Windows Vista?
There are several ways to tell the difference and one method is listed below:
1. In Windows Explorer, check if you have a Help menu and then select About Windows. If Windows XP is installed, you should see a message saying so.
2. If you can't see a Help menu, you may instead have System properties menu instead. Click on this. If Windows Vista is installed, it will say so under Windows edition.
