How do I uninstall the BBC iPlayer Download Manager in Windows Vista?

To uninstall from Windows XP see this advice.

1. Close the BBC iPlayer Download Manager.
2. Open Task Manager by right-clicking on the windows toolbar. Select the Processes tab and for both kservice.exe and khost.exe then click End process. At the Task Manager warning on terminating a process click Yes.

   



3. In the Start Menu go to the Control Panel
4. Depending on your view set up either click on Programs or Programs & Features and navigate to BBC iPlayer Download Manager and select Change/Remove
5. Click Uninstall when prompted
6. Click Yes when prompted

When the Download Manager uninstalls, any downloaded programmes you've stored will be deleted as well.

Kontiki will now be removed, unless you have another program that uses it, such as 4oD or Sky Anytime, in which case the Download Manager will not remove Kontiki.
