How do I uninstall and remove RealPlayer from my computer?

Uninstalling RealPlayer on Windows

  1. In the Start Menu go to Settings and Control Panel.
  2. Select Add / Remove Programs.
  3. Wait for the list of installed programs to appear, then scroll down to find RealPlayer.
  4. Highlight RealPlayer and click Remove.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts.

To delete the RealPlayer folders from your computer (by default these are located at: C:\program files\real\RealPlayer and C:\program files\common files\real\) follow these steps:

  1. Go to My Computer and go to your primary local hard drive (usually C:\ ).
  2. Go to the Program Filesfolder and find the Real folder.
  3. Delete the RealPlayer folder.
  4. Go back to the Program Files folder.
  5. Go to the Common Files folder.
  6. Delete the Real folder.

Uninstalling RealPlayer on a Macintosh

  1. From the Applications menu, click and drag your current copy of the RealPlayer application to the Trash.
  2. From the Finder menu, choose Empty Trash.

Note: You can use the Finder's File, Find feature to look for any previous installations of RealPlayer. Just search for Real, RealOne or RealPlayer, then follow the steps outlined above.
