How do I get BBC iPlayer on my Nokia N85 or N96?

Streaming and downloading programmes directly to your phone over wi-fi and 3G networks

Vodafone and 3 subscribers and wi-fi users with the Nokia N85 can now directly access and stream BBC iPlayer - simply point your phone's browser to BBC iPlayer and follow the instructions that come with the application.

We are working to add more mobile networks, but for now, users on other mobile networks will only be able to stream over wi-fi.

To download programmes, you need to use a wi-fi connection.

Downloads are only available to play for seven days from when you download the licence, if it's still available.

Streaming live radio and TV programmes

Transferring programmes from your PC to your phone

Nokia phones support numerous USB modes. When transferring downloaded content from your computer onto the N96 or N85, you'll need to select the Media Transfer option on your phone once you've connected the USB cable. This is because programmes need to be transferred in MTP mode. This guide has more information.
