How do I make Windows Media Player the default player for WMV files?

To update your settings in Windows Media Player:

Open Windows Media Player.
In Windows Media Player, select Now Playing.
Select More Options...
In the Options screen, select File Types and ensure that Windows Media Video file (WMV) check box is ticked.
Select OK button and return to BBC iPlayer.
