Which mobile phones or portable media players (PMPs) can I transfer downloads to (sideload)?

There are several ways your mobile phone can access BBC iPlayer - see this guide for more information.

Sideloading

To play mobile downloads, you need to have a Windows Media compatible portable media player able to support Windows Media protected content.

We have tested our mobile downloads on several devices, but this list is not exclusive - if you are a manufacturer, please use the Contact Us form and we'll test that it works.

If you are looking for a device, check with the retailer that it is compatible with BBC iPlayer - it should state wording to the effect that it  Plays your music and video downloads, including MP3 and WMV, but please confirm with your retailer.
