Licence Pending – Why am I receiving this message when attempting to play downloaded content?

We are aware of some reports from those who have received the message ‘Licence Pending' when attempting to play content they have downloaded to BBC iPlayer Desktop.

This is currently under investigation and we apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused.

If available you may wish to download the Windows Media Player version of the content.

We will update this FAQ when we have further information.
