How do I report a problem with a programme, like a missing download, shortened programme, or encoding issue?

The BBC iPlayer messageboard Service Updates thread is used by us to report known technical faults.

If you use the Contact Us form here on the help site we recommend you select Programme Availability as your query, giving the full name and the webpage (URL) of the programme.

If you do contact us about the Click to Play (streaming) problems, right-click on the Flash player window and select and select Copy this error message, making sure you paste this into your query when you contact us.

Radio programmes

Sometimes the programme may be available in full as a podcast, so it is worth checking the Podcast Directory.

"Content not working" message

Clear your browser's cache - each browser is specific so please see your browser's help on how to do this, or read the separate FAQ for advice on how to do so.
