How do I set up Parental Guidance on the BBC iPlayer website?

The first time you try to watch a Guidance-labelled programme, the Parental Guidance Lock warning will appear and ask you to confirm you are over 16 and, if so, if you want to set up Parental Guidance lock.

If you are over 16, please tick the box next to Yes, I am aged 16 or older. If you wish to set up Parental Guidance lock, please first ensure that cookies are enabled.

Setting up Parental Guidance lock requires you to create a password for security purposes and an email address in case you forget this password.

When Parental Guidance Lock is on, you will be prompted for your password before being able to view Guidance labelled programmes pages.

To set up Parental Guidance Lock at a later date, go to the Parental Guidance Lock page.
