We have to have the acceptance from all those involved in making the programme to offer programmes on BBC iPlayer - the On-Demand rights. We can't acquire the rights for every programme we broadcast, and certain programmes are more likely to be affected. These are often programmes involving sports clips, musical performances, photographs, overseas programming and other areas that have complex copyright and performance issues.
For some programmes, we are only able to acquire the streaming rights, therefore not all programmes will be available to download.
In addition, we may not have the On-Demand rights for older programmes as we would have acquired these before BBC iPlayer was available.
This guide explains how you can tell what will be available.
